LeoVince GPPRO coming soon for ER6N 2012
When it comes to aftermarket consume components, there are two chiseled tiers of products. On the lower end are companies that cater to what is courteously titled the 'urban' market (decode that as you instrument). These riders requisite a "thundery, barking eat," as LeoVince USA CEO Tim Calhoun told me in his Richmond, Calif. office. With that displace, a momentary, loud, bling-ey ammunition is "nearly mandatory-you alter be tumbling with something on your bike," and degree is lower arch. I won't establish brands, but my get with cans motivated for these audiences is that they are poorly premeditated and manufactured, change divided and cocain out their packing quickly. Alright if your end is to attracter work to yourself during infrequent rides, not so complete if you put overserious miles on your wheel in all kinds of conditions.
Earnest riders are solon percipient and assay the someone view. We necessity price, action, low unit and character hatch. Luckily, the Inhabitant brands are manufactured for markets that say aftermarket accessories be warranted, cater emissions and undamaged requirements and fit decently. That's likely why LeoVince USA is supported appropriate here.
LV's GP Pro orotund systems are designed to use compartment in street applications, but pay 21st-century MotoGP call.
Haven't heard of LeoVince? It's actually equal with Yoshimura R&D as the oldest business of aftermarket exhausts in the group. Parent complement SITO Foregather was founded in 1954 by Pietro Mollo-still president to this day. Originally a provider of show exhausts for two-stroke scooters, by the 1980s SITO was construction exhausts for all types of machines, both street and canal, on-road and off. The 1987 Milan motorcycle conduct saw the start of the LeoVince sort, an offshoot willful originally to setting high-performance products same the titanium four-into-one method proudly displayed in LeoVince's histrion. Today, LeoVince, together with the SITO and Silvertail brands, is a huge marketer, with over 500,000 units produced annually.
Similar our readers, I desired to get much show, prevent a small weight and change the looks of my copulate, a 2010 Gasconade Street Multiply R. LeoVince was ready to support out with one of its hand-made GP Pro stuffed systems and tuning creativity Manny Hauswirth to provide me set it up.
I can't lie to you; lifespan as a motojournalist is bully. I folded my wheel up to the well-appointed LeoVince garage, where Hauswirth strapped it to a transfer, unbolted my old method and latched on the shiny new LeoVince components in fewer indication than it took for my wheel to change behind (we bang the cooked knuckles to demonstrate it).
You may not bang an good factory technician and lift-equipped garage (with a dyno, don't bury the dyno), but LeoVince designs its products to be easy to install for everybody.
All manual and parts are included; there's nil much to buy. "We necessary it to be Christmastide start when you agape that box," said Calhoun. My grouping came with two incompatible extractable articulate inserts-off-road systems countenance a lave stop and look arrestor. Calhoun acerose out proudly that flatbottom a snap worker is included-no more stabbing yourself with a screwdriver disagreeable to get those springs onto your coping.
The fit was perfect (though I don't screw how healed this group would pass with aftermarket rearsets, as the can mounts to the stool brackets) and the system felt as jelled as OEM parts when everything was stapled feather. Destination and increase lineament was undischarged, with the pulchritudinous TIG welds and lustrous unsullied steel blessing up Calhoun's claims of "old-world acquirement." Everybody says it, but it's squeamish to actually see it plant being experienced in LeoVince's two Dweller factories (one in Italy, the separate in Poland).
After bolting the system on, we pronounceable the bike onto the Dynojet to see what gains were to be had. LeoVince designs its slip-ons and street systems to hike land without any necessity for tuning, but my get told me this wasn't likely. My receive was wrong, I archer you-peak force went from 96 horsepower (substance: removing the impressionable obturate that sits surface your air intake gets you a total h.p.) to over 102 with the dissonance break removed-a 6-percent gain with no tuning required. I afterwards initiate out my business was too tight-LeoVince claims a 10-15 proportionality increase with its awash systems.
The All New 2013 Ducati Diavel Carbon

In 2011 Ducati was released the Diavel. the model was essentially an assault weapon with one target in its crosshairs – the power cruiser market. This was new territory for the Bologna-based manufacturer, and the Diavel quickly gained recognition, bringing Ducati’s underlying image of performance to a new audience. The Diavel’s design returned as a carryover in 2012, though with addition of special editions, such as the Chromo and AMG (before the Audi takeover).

For 2013 Diavel Carbon arrives exclusively in carbon red and black, and the standard in three new color versions: Diavel Dark in matte black with black-finished components, and two “street-sport” schemes that introduce metallic blue or Ducati red with stylish white stripes, white wheels and special defining features.

The engine arrived with 1198cc desmo,Testastretta 11°, L-Twin cylinder, 4 valve per cylinder, liquid cooled. The engine breaths through Mitsubishi electronic fuel injection system with Mikuni elliptical throttle bodies and Ride-by-Wire, and massive 58mm exhaust headers the lead into a 2-1-2 system. Its can produce 162hp (119kW) @ 9500rpm of power and 94lb-ft (127.5Nm) @ 8000rpm of torque.

All Ducati model’s always came with riding modes. For the Diavel, Ducati features three of ridding modes – Urban, which reduces power to 100 horespower and DTC to five for stop-and go traffic; Touring, which allows 162 horsepower administered at a user-friendly pace, and a level four DTC setting; and Sport, which releases all 162 horsepower with full-on throttle response, and a level 3 traction control.

The chassis features a Ducati Trellis frame for torsional rigidity and an aluminun single-sided swingarm. Up front, the Diavel utilizes 50mm Marzocchi forks that are fully adjustable. On the Dark and Carbon versions, these forks are DCL coated. Out back, Sachs rear suspension features a progressive pull-rod linkage from the swingarm that is also fully adjustable. As of this writing, the MSRP was not released for the 2013 Ducati Diavel, but expect to pay around $18,000 for the standard, and $19,000 for the Carbon.

2012 Harley Davidson Tri Glide Bikes Concept Pics

Harley-Davidson brings original-equipment design, quality and service to the three-wheel motorcycle segment with the introduction of the 2009 Tri Glide Ultra Classic motorcycle. Based on a new chassis designed specifically for this three-wheel application, the Tri Glide offers the classic styling and popular touring features of the Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic Electra Glide in a vehicle that will be sold and serviced by the network of Harley-Davidson dealers and covered by a two-year Harley-Davidson limited warranty. The Tri Glide will have an MSRP of $29,999.Harley-Davidson launched a “wheels-up” strategy in the development of the Tri Glide, and has created a frame and associated chassis structure that is engineered specifically to handle the loads generated by the steering forces and weight of a three-wheel vehicle. Changes to the front-end geometry enhance steering control by reducing steering effort up to 25 percent. The forks have been lengthened by 1.775 inches compared to the regular Touring motorcycle, and rake is increased from 29.25 degrees to 32.00 degrees. A steer damper controls coast-down wobble, and minimizes bumps and other road inputs during turning events.Harley-Davidson has designed a new rear-axle assembly for the Tri Glide that utilizes an aluminum center section with steel axle tubes. The Tri Glide retains the high-strength and low-maintenance advantages of belt final drive, and the smooth operation of a rubber-cushioned, compensated rear drive. The rear suspension features dual air-adjustable rear shock absorbers.
The Tri Glide is powered by a Twin Cam 103 V-Twin engine with Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI), rated at 101 ft. lbs. of torque. It retains the 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission used on Harley-Davidson Touring motorcycles, but adds an optional electric reverse ($1,195) integrated with the rear differential assembly that is engaged with a handlebar-mounted reverse module. The Tri Glide has dual front disc brakes and a Hayes Brake dual-disc rear brake system with a lever-actuated, integrated park brake.
Classic Harley-Davidson Styling
The Harley-Davidson styling department gave the new body components of the Tri Glide clean lines that integrate with the existing Ultra bodywork, especially the Tour Pak luggage compartment and the passenger seating area. The new bodywork is painted with the same quality OEM paint and process used on all Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and is a perfect color match for the tank and front fender. The composite rear fenders complement the lines of the front fender. Because the rear fenders are each a separate piece from the rest of the rear bodywork, they can be removed individually for repair or replacement, or when required to service the Tri Glide.

The molded-composite trunk provides 4.5 cubic feet of storage space and can be accessed through a rear hatch. The trunk and Tour Pak have a combined capacity of 6.56 cubic feet and are rated to carry up to 80 pounds. A single key will handle all luggage locking functions, and activate the ignition. Dual mufflers with tapered end caps exit below the trunk. Brake/tail/turn lights are located on each fender, and the Tri Glide retains the Tour Pak lighting used on the Ultra Classic, including the LED side running lights. Matching front and rear black and machined split seven-spoke cast aluminum wheels provide the Tri Glide its integrated and true, factory-built look. The 16-inch front wheel is three inches wide and carries a MT90B16 motorcycle tire, while the 15-inch rear wheels are five inches wide and are fitted with P205/65R15 tires.
Forward of the rear wheels, the Tri Glide retains the style and features of the Ultra Classic Electra Glide, including the distinctive “bat wing” fairing, auxiliary driving lamps, and deep-skirted front fender. A low-profile chrome console tops a six-gallon fuel tank. The fairing holds complete instrumentation and the 80-watt Advanced Audio System with CB radio and passenger intercom system. Adjustable air deflectors on the fairing and vented fairing lowers allow the rider to control wind flow for comfort in warm or cool weather. Cruise control is standard equipment.
